“The Way You Look Tonight” Fred Astaire
This one was a challenge. I’m not really in the mood for heart fluttering these days.
Nothing modern really came to mind. So I thought about “L-O-V-E” by Nat King Cole or “I Only Want to Be with You” by Dusty Springfield or even “The Very Thought of You” by just about anyone. In the end, I settled on this charming song.
I could have gone with the Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra or Michael Buble versions which are all wonderful. But I went with Fred because he and I go way back. We didn’t have cable when I was growing up so I watched a lot of early Hollywood musicals on the local television. They were on every weekend and I would sit for hours loving every minute.
